Professor Philip Cheng has been focusing on research in Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital twins, construction engineering, green buildings, the Internet of Things, and sustainable architecture for many years. He also holds positions such as the Director of the BIM Laboratory at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Deputy Director of the Smart City Research at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, a member of the Council of the Construction Industry Council of Hong Kong, and the Chairman of the BIM Committee of the Construction Industry Council of Hong Kong. He has published more than 150 related academic papers and has corresponding scientific research achievements, technical reserves, solutions, and implementation cases in fields such as smart cities, smart construction sites, and AI security identification.
During the subsequent exchange discussion, Intelligent Space exchanged with Professor Philip Cheng and Dr. Leung Chun-wai on topics such as the R & D and implementation of Intelligent Space's smart park and digital twin businesses, the latest scientific research achievements of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, smart cities (CIM/BIM), IOC, and AIOT technologies.
Both parties agreed that the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has the advantages of talents, platforms, and scientific research capabilities, while Intelligent Space is the main body for the implementation of application scenarios in the park. The two parties can give full play to their respective advantages to apply and practice the excellent scientific research achievements of colleges and universities in scenarios such as smart parks and smart cities, and realize practical value. Preliminary discussions and plans were also made on the subsequent industry-university-research cooperation model, pilot projects for the implementation and application of technology, and business promotion.
